HTI also functions as an unbiased high voltage facility testing authority, professionally autonomous of Manufacturers, Suppliers, and other Contractors.

HTI engineering services are exclusively focused at facilities associated with high voltage utility systems, high voltage facilities for interconnection of generation sources, and high Voltage facilities for the Heavy Industrial and the Oil & Gas Industries. High Voltage Power System Protection and Control is one of our specialties. Our engineering staff has many decades of experience in the specification, engineering, and construction of substation, transmission and distribution facilities.

Equipment evaluation studies are routinely performed to determine the adequacy of circuit breakers, surge arresters, switches, fuses, control devices, and protective relays. Any potential problem areas or inadequacies found in Client facilities are brought to the Owners' attention.

HTI provides Maintenance services and performs any required troubleshooting of equipment, cabling, and protection & control devices. Our field personnel are comprised of Power System Electricians, Technologists, and Engineers who specialize in this area of the High Voltage electrical industry.

All testing, analyzing and maintenance is done with the most suitable test equipment. The use of computer aided testing is routinely done. HTI staff is proficient with the use of Ratiometers, Capacitive Bridge Testers, Contact Resistance Testers, Programma Analyzers, Hi Pot Testers, Infrared Scanners, and Doble and Omicron Relay Testers.

On-Site Construction Coordinators for field supervision as well as on-site training of other Contractors can be provided as a Client service. Knowledgeable, proficient, qualified, and experienced personnel are used to supervise all areas of construction, testing and commissioning, and maintenance.
